My First Music class

Since last 6 years,I was thinking of joining a music class and hone my singing skills but never got time to take care of my interest in music.However,finally the D-Day arrived yesterday.While Mr.Bay Leaf was trying to overcome the past and present,God sent someone to indulge in to the depth of music and come out with a new identity.

My music teacher met me accidentally through Linked in.In my desperate search for a job,I mayn't get much help from my network there,however I accidentally bumped into a freelancer Music teacher.Love for music,forced me write few lines about my love for music and interest to learn the techniques and the personal objective to be a better singer.I also attached a copy of my composition and sent the mail.For a week,I was expecting a reply and didn't get any.Thus,I assumed that she is a great singer and I may not qualify to be her student.Then one day to my utter surprise,received a communication.She gave me a 7/10 for that composition and had asked to join her music class immediately.Then I planned it thrice,but due to my soft skills classes,I failed to attend the classes on all occassions.Taking 3-4 classes daily,hauling,shouting at students for 6-7 hours,I had a sore throat.I felt that the dream of starting music classes will remain a dream forever.But may be God was testing my patience.Yesterday,it was Janmasthami and thus most colleges had a holiday.I was not having more of classes.Thus,I had some free time during the day.Therefore,I sent my music teacher an SMS asking about "How she is placed today and can we start the class today?".The SMS was sent early morning but there were no reply up to 10am.I presumed,may be she is busy with her kid or may be out of the city with her entrepreneur husband.But then,patience pays off...around 10.30am,got a reply but it was raining heavily.She wanted me to reach by 11am and continue up to 1pm.This time,I din't want to miss theopportunity.Determined to cut across the rain and taking help from her over the phone about the actual location,finally reached at his residence.She welcomed me and asked to park myself in her store room.Then she asked me,"Where is your diary?".Then I realised that I forgot to carry a note book in a hurry.But my teacher was not worried.She told me that,need not worry..I will fetch you one...thereafter started searching in a cupboard.Picked up an old diary.Now look ate coincidence..it was a diary with Lord Krishna's smiling face.Then she gave it to me.I discovered that,her name was written in the first few introductory pages..then it was written "My husband says,'You can't please everybody in this world'.ohhhh..it was a diary gifted by her husband..then she disclosed it was a diary gifted by him.I told her not to give it to me..I will manage today and may be next class onwards,will carry a diary.But she insisted that consider it as your teacher's precious gift.Teacher went on to explain that,May be God wanted to convey the message through me and my husband through this diary.Also explained me that it is not a mere coincidence to get a diary with Lord krishna's images and a saying,it is the almighty's blessings.I too realised.Expect the almighty change my life's course and my musical start afresh will be mellifluous.

We started with the basics of Alankar.First time ever realised that if you are good at music,you will be equally good in mathematics and logical reasoning.Music teaches us life skills.Synchronisation in life is very important.Understanding your friends,relative's human behaviour and going in sync with them is important to lead a peaceful life.Life is also a trivia of ups and downs like the several notes in the ALANKAAR.Music teaches also about co-ordination and its importance in life cycle.What is the importance of BALANCE in life and how to express yourself through voice and how to judge the SOOR,TAAL & LAY in life.Truly,music enhances your persona nad it is holistic devlopment.

Do you know,my teacher also told me that,'It is important to be in love cause it inspires you to come out with your best performance in music cause creativity is always dependent with your emotions,passion and enthusiam.She knew it well that,When I composed my song,I was in true love.However,she also told me that,music teaches you to be in present and ignore the past and learn just lessons from your mistakes,so that it will lead you towards a successful future.

It was more than music in the first class.She was pioneer of selfless service and had shown the true characters of a teacher in the first interaction.Looking forward to many such memorable sessions with my teacher and share the learnings with you.
